BBC Gardeners World Live 2019

Design It Landscapes teamed up with Lucy Bravington Design to build a show garden with a theme of travel. The garden was inspired by the High Line in New York which is a dis-used freight line that was converted into a public park.

The garden featured corten steel screens, planter and a moongate to follow the industrial past of the freight line with benches rising up from the paving made from granite and hardwood timber. The planting consisted of three large multi-stem Ginkgo biloba trees to add height and a mixture of grasses, herbaceous perennials and ferns to create a restrained naturalistic feel.

The Garden received a Platinum Medal and the award for Best Construction. It was also featured multiple times on Gardeners world and Midlands Today.

"Dan and the team have done a great job. They are professional, tidy, hard working and a pleasure to have around for two weeks. Unexpected problems (including large gnarly tree roots just below the surface) were resolved with no fuss or additional charges. They have turned a blank space into a dream garden and left it looking like an RHS Show Garden. We can totally recommend Design It."
